lyrics
You don’t like it
You don’t like it but you’re brainwashing yourself
I ask you where you’ve been
You try to clue me in
Can’t say
Don’t know
You’re lost
It shows
But you say
When I fall apart
Take my pieces
And plant them in spoiled soil
So my leaves will never turn green
You don’t like it
You don’t like it but you’re brainwashing yourself
He paints
Only by candlelight
He shows his phone
To all my friends
A picture of his
Favorite candle
And pictures of
His unimpressive art
Thanks for the cigarette, man
I didn’t tell ya that I had a pack
Jay Som makes beautiful music and is one of the great bedroom pop artists. The final track on this album is timeless and moving. Robin Sharrock (Sharoma)
I'm a sucker for lyrics. This song is a beautiful sadness to end a summer with. I love every track on this album but this one is comfortable to me, for better or worse. It captures a feeling I think unfortunately most of us have felt. Surf Curse's whole sound reminds me of loss and no more so then here. logansaxby
This album fucks as hard as dripping and magic but imo feels the most personal and emotional release of the three. It’s weird and frantic but hits
this really interesting balance.
