JD Marston Really freaking love this album guys. So glad to find a new, really good local band to dig on all the time. Cannot wait for more. Favorite track: Explain Yourself.

Art Fin I'm surprised this is not getting more attention. Singer Henry Dillon has a distinctive baritone croon that is gravelly like Tom Waits or Blake Schwarzenbach of Jawbreaker, scratchy like Richard Butler of Psy Furs and deep like Mark Sandman of Morphine. The music is somewhat emo but the deep vocals make it sound interestingly different from most bands of that style. Favorite track: Four Word Song Title.

Washed Down 03:54
In hell you take a shower A torture preordained The hatred from our human life Is washed down heaven’s drain Hey baby I wanna be high forever Hey baby I know I should try to get better
2.
Outside the lines There’s something hidin You’re asking questions Demanding answers I can’t give to you Doesn’t matter who’s right Or what’s wrong Outside the lines There’s something hidin Mortality is wasted on crying Overcome existence Learn to become resistant I won’t wait around for you Though I hope it’s what you’d want me to do If I slow down, I will Destroy my crown
3.
Eradicate all anticipation Good things will come when they want Moving backwards Our place unclear What we’re wanting Is what we fear My heat won’t melt our problems Try as I might, I wont succeed Make a list of all the things you hate And never tear it up Hide your sins in boxes underground Be sure to nail em shut And force yourself to focus on All the things you think are wrong Cuz life’s a stupid poppy song But you and I must dance along That’s quite enough for this one Fourth walls exist in many songs
4.
Anesh Kumar 04:00
My dad he dug into life Dissected gods with his knife To see if something was there So he’d have knowledge to share Dad wants to nurture the sky Vultures to pick out his eyes Pyre on the hills of Tibet Fire burns his body and head Of course I’ll be there for him To cut off all of his limbs I’ll aide recurring rebirth I’ll give him back to the earth
5.
So So Bad 04:35
Should I go downstairs or should I stay? Asked you once or twice, but you can’t say Laugh and smile as you undress me But take a look at where that’s left me I’ve been so so bad As a fling or as a lover As your boyfriend or whatever Thoughts I can’t put into art Thoughts that I can’t disregard I’ve been so so bad Fall down in parallel Words misconstrued I’ll wait; I’m terrified To take off my disguise When I feel good about myself I feel dirty
6.
Pompous 04:05
You don’t like it You don’t like it but you’re brainwashing yourself I ask you where you’ve been You try to clue me in Can’t say Don’t know You’re lost It shows But you say When I fall apart Take my pieces And plant them in spoiled soil So my leaves will never turn green You don’t like it You don’t like it but you’re brainwashing yourself He paints Only by candlelight He shows his phone To all my friends A picture of his Favorite candle And pictures of His unimpressive art Thanks for the cigarette, man I didn’t tell ya that I had a pack
7.
Anxious heartache Trying my best to breathe I’m weird, you said Still not really sure what that means But hiding in your mind there is a flame Don’t burn me up Don’t become my forbidden name You’ll compare my despair to another Hopefully I won’t be like the others
